Keto French Toast
On My Cheat Day!!
Yes, usually on Sunday when my husband cooks breakfast, he cooks for himself some gluten free pancakes. I occasionally cheat and eat one of his pancakes. BUT, I found an easy 90-Second Bread Recipe that makes amazing toast, or… French Toast!!
Even though I try to eat a low carb or keto diet, (it just makes me feel better), when I cheat… I cheat! I don’t like fake sugar with the occasional exception of stevia, so I try to stick with a low carb bread, but use real maple syrup. (If you want to go keto with the syrup, you can do some research for “keto syrup recipes”.)
After making the 90-Second Bread, I can make 2 pieces of French Toast.
Ingredients:
- Cream
- Egg
- Salt & Pepper
- Cinnamon
Directions:
I mix one egg in a bowl that will fit my bread.
I add a little cream, cinnamon and salt and pepper to taste.
In a hot skillet, spray with cooking spray or melt a bit of butter.
Carefully dip the bread slices into the egg/cream mixture and place in pan. Turn when brown. Enjoy!!
